Doing proper Keyword analysis is critical to your web sites success. Choose the wrong keywords
and you are building a site in which no one will visit. Do not underestimate the importance of proper[tag] Keyword analysis research[/tag].
In running a web development company I see day after day clients who have put together
websites with no thought to [tag]keyword research[/tag]. I am not sure if they understand how
someone finds a particular website, but one thing is for sure, they want traffic and expect it by just having a website up on the net.
This is really a backward approach and unfortunately many “web designers” also build sites without
any real thought to keyword research.
So how do you do keyword analysis research?
What tools are available that you can use to determine what people are looking for?
The first answer to the above questions is to try and really think like your client or customer would.
What would they type into the search engines to find you. Make a list of at least 20 different words that would describe your business, site or product.

Spyfu is a relly cool new keyword research tool that will allow you to quickly find your competition on both organic searches and Pay per click searches. It will give you relevant keywords, and tell you what keywords other advertisers are using that are related to the orginal keyword.
Spyfu is free and in beta but it is quickly becoming my tool of choice when looking into doing keyword analysis research. I higly recommend you put this in your favorites and before you build a website spend some time determining what people are looking for and look for what I call “holes” (higly searched but not many results) and if you product/information fits the hole, then plug it with your site and deliver the information the searchers are looking for.
